Rabbits N'Rodents

Got Rabbits, Hamsters, Guinea pigs, gerbils?

In Remembrance of Bailey

Sadly Bailey was found curled up in a forever lasting sleep on 26th January 2007. He is greatly missed by many as he was an endearing little character who was ever such a gentleman who never bit anyone, not even the vet.

Bailey started life as one of 12 babies born on the 26th October 2004 and came home with me on the 5th Decemeber, aged just 6 weeks. He loved nothing more than his wodent wheel, climbing and grooming himself. When let out to play he'd almost always head straight to the CD racks and climb up them and observe his surroundings, not that I think he could ever see much more than 5cm infront of him, being a hamster. He was always a good boy and ate his greens, particulary mangetout and coriander and would always wash his hands and face after eating.

His health bagan to slowly decline from around 2 years, but despite his balding, cushings disease and even suffering a minor stroke, he still lived life to the full, and took life at his own pace, like most males. It was a shock to discover him gone, however it must have been his time to go, and I am happy that he went peacefully in his sleep.
